That’s exactly what the Eye of Judgement for the PS3 is all about… completely based on this subject…

    Hi, nice work!
I began to study ARToolKit Library and I am getting several linker errors when compiling any example. Did you use GLUT library? What version of GLUT and ARToolKit are you using?
    Thanks!

If someone makes some sort of hands free headset to look through, there wouldn’t be a problem.

it would be cool to make your own card game with this program
rather than having to tape up your cards you can just make new ones with a multitude of patterns for the computer to read

    it cud be cool

I had a student create the exact same concept last year. I agree it looks very cool and is a lot of fun to play with as a prototype, but the result still isn’t as playable as the actual cards.

For that to happen, orientation-tracked displays have to become mainstream, because now you have to look at a screen in stead of the table to play and you can get disoriented quite easily.

But anyway, kudos on this project. The animations and such look very well done!

    Ficou muito bom. parabéns.
Eu trabalho com tracking aqui, talvez de pra remover a necessidade de marcadores, mas o processamento é maior.

I used Virtools framework to deal with the characters movement. Inside the virtools it’s easy to make that control.

    Thanks for the comment.
I don’t know if the trading card companies will be interested in this type of approach, but Sony PS3 has a EYETOY game also with this approach.

Da**it, man! I just learned about Virtualoid and then artoolkit less than twenty-four hours ago! I’ve been lookin’ at everything, and just when I thought I’ve seen it all, ya’ll actually go and apply it to an everyday, two-dimensional card game! Ya’ll are brilliant, totally brilliant! Hurry and copyright your idea or something because I can promise you that the trading card companies will not overlook this. Ya’ll could seriously become millionares! Keep at that idea, it will be huge! D*mn huge!!
